UPR Consultation on Election Integrity was held on September 5th at the Hastings on Hudson Public Library.

UNA-Westchester had an excellent review of human rights in the U.S. related to election integrity. The topics covered were:
1. Partisan election administration leading to: Voter suppression; Gerrymandering; Ballot verification
2. Difficulty of accessing poll sites: people with disabilities, lack of convenient polling places, difficulty in getting time off from work, etc.;
3. Problems with electronic registration and voting machines – hacking, manipulation, lack of paper trail.
4. Disenfranchisement of incarcerated and previously-incarcerated people.
The report of the consultation will be submitted to UNA-USA headquarters and included in UNA's review of the human rights record of the U.S. It will be submitted to the Human Rights Council for review in May 2020.
The draft report from the consultation was completed on 09/11/19 and was submitted to the State Department and the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights.
