UN Day 2017

UNA-Westchester had a delightful United Nations Day celebration on October 22nd at Wainwright House in Rye, NY. It was a beautiful day and we were so inspired by the remarks of Ambassador Henry Mac Donald of Suriname, who embodies what is needed from each of us to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals.
We were also very honored to be able to recognize seven individuals or organizations in our communities who are themselves contributing to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. They were all very worthy of the honor and Professor Nick Robinson did a masterful job of responding on behalf of the awardees. All the participants enjoyed the reception and the opportunity to network with others who are dedicated to the work of the United Nations.
